Box Score VERONA, Wis. - Marian University men's soccer (5-11-1, 2-9-1 NACC) scored two goals in the final 3:34 of regulation to tie Edgewood 3-3.
The Sabres were able to find the back of the net first when sophomore Drew Cowden scored his second goal of the season at the 13:30 mark with an assist from freshman Zach Paxton. Edgewood was able to find an equalizer later in the half to set the halftime tally at 1-1.
Edgewood then scored a pair of goals to open the second half and take their first lead of the match at 3-1. The Marian rally began at the 86:26 mark when senior Chris Nelson netted his first goal of the season with an assist to Cowden. Then with just 1:24 left in the match, freshman Giuliano Corazzina netted his 12th tally of the season, assist to Paxton, to send the game to overtime.
Marian outshot the Eagles 8-2 in the 20 minutes of extra action but neither team was able to find the back of the net. The Sabres finished with a 34-20 edge in shots led by Corazzina who fired nine shots. Senior Kevin Cervantes (2-3-1) returned for his final match at Marian making six saves.
