LA CROSSE, Wis. - Marian University men's basketball (1-1, 0-0 NACC) outscored No. 15 UW-La Crosse 35-32 in the second half but fell to the Eagles by a 79-48 final.

A tough first half saw the Sabres shoot just 17.2-percent from the field, while UW-La Crosse made 10 three-pointers to build a 47-13 halftime advantage.  Marian was able to bounce back in the second half shooting 13-27 (.481) from the field and held the Eagles to just 37.5-percent shooting from the field.

Junior Tyler Gouin posted a team-best 14 points, while fellow junior Dylan Gmeiner and senior David Britton each chipped in 10 points.  Senior Scott Paulus had a game-high eight rebounds to go with a pair of steals.

Marian plays at home for the first time this season hosting Finlandia Monday, Nov. 15 for a 7 p.m. tip.
