Marian answered in a big way scoring three goals in the final 1:45 of the period.  Kleiner scored the opening goal at the 18:15 mark with assists to freshman Jordan Simoneau and junior Jack Sampson.  Sophomore Dawson Schwengler then lit the lamp with just 52.4 seconds remaining, assist to fellow sophomore Brady Lynn.  Then with just 6.5 ticks on the clock, Colley recorded his second goal of the period, assist to sophomore Ty Mosimann, to put the game at a 4-4 tie heading into the third.

The Falcons were able to score first in the third period, but the Sabres were once again able to respond and tie the game at five.  Freshman Nick Cherkowski was the goal scorer for the Sabres with Colley assisting the score for his third point of the night.

After a scoreless overtime period, senior Gianni Vitali was able to open the shootout with a goal.  Both goaltenders then turned away a combined four shots before CUW was able to score on their final shooter.  After another pair of denied shots, Sampson scored the eventual game-winner to give the Sabres two points.
