FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's basketball (0-1, 0-0 NACC) fell to Dubuque by a final score of 82-41 to open the season.

The Spartans were able to shoot 63.2-percent from the field in the opening quarter and forced six Marian turnovers as Dubuque opened up a 33-13 lead.  Dubuque was able to then outscore the Sabres in the remaining three quarters and held Marian to just 15 points in the second half.

Senior Sierra Strope-Robinson posted the first double-double of her career with a team-best 12 points and 10 rebounds. 

Marian travels to Lawrence for a 7 p.m. tip Thursday, Nov. 11 in non-conference action.
