Box Score FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's basketball (2-8, 0-4 NACC) dropped their final game of the first falling to Concordia Chicago 65-45.
The opening minutes of the first quarter went back-and-forth out to a 6-6 tie before Concordia Chicago used a 16-4 run to close out the quarter with a 22-10 advantage. The Cougars were then able to continue to use that momentum and outscored the Sabres 17-6 in the second quarter. This gave CUC a 39-16 lead going into halftime. Marian found their stride in the second half outpacing CUC 16-14 in the third quarter and 13-12 in the fourth quarter.
Senior Paris Harris filled up the stat sheet scoring a team-high 14 points with six rebounds and four steals. Freshman Brianna Martin chipped in 10 points and also had a pair of blocks to go with six boards.
Marian opens the second half on the road in non-conference action taking on Carroll at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 29.
