Box Score FOND DU LAC - Wisconsin Lutheran scored a pair of goals in the second half to defeat Marian University men's soccer (3-3-0, 0-1-0 NACC) 3-1 to open NACC play.
The scoring happened quick to open the first NACC match for both squads with WLC converting a penalty kick just 5:34 for the first goal. Freshman Drew Cowden then turned a failed clear attempt into his first goal of the season scoring just 4:20 later from 17 yards out inside the near post.

The second half started just how the end of the first half did before a funny bounce on a chip into the box from WLC gave the Warriors a 2-1 lead with 17 minutes remaining. Then just 1:23 later Wisconsin Lutheran was able to score on a corner kick to set the final at 3-1.
Marian finished the game with a 24-13 edge in shots led by Cowden who had six shots. Senior Kevin Cervantes (3-2-0) made one save in 82:52 of action.
