Box Score FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's soccer (3-5-0, 0-3-0 NACC) made a late push but fell to St. Norbert by a 3-1 final.
The start of the game saw slow-paced action, but St. Norbert turned things up a notch quickly scoring the 24th and 27th minutes. This 2-0 lead held for the Green Knights into halftime. St. Norbert then found the back of the net to open the second half off of a corner kick in the 63rd minute, their second goal off of a corner kick.
The Sabres quickly responded, however, when sophomore Max Kauffman was able to score his fifth goal of the game with a helper from freshman Giuliano Corazzina. The goal came in the 66th minute and helped jumpstart the Marian offense. The Sabres were able to create several quality chances in the final minutes but were unable to find the back of the net leading to the 3-1 final.
Freshman Aden Jerome (0-2-0) made six saves on the night with four of his stops coming in the second half. Kauffman had a pair of shots on the night to pace the Marian offense.
Marian remains at home closing out the week against Benedictine at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25.
