Sabre men's hockey shut out by MSOE on the road

Box Score

MILWAUKEE - Marian University men's hockey (6-6-2, 1-5-1-0 NCHA) dropped their first NCHA game of the second half at MSOE by a 3-0 final.

Both offenses had plenty of opportunities but both goaltenders were able to keep the game a defensive battle.  The Raiders were able to score a goal in each period with the final goal coming with an empty Sabre net in what was a rematch of the NCHA Harris Cup Championship from a season ago.

Marian finished with 32 shots recording 16 of their shots in the second period.  Senior Parker Colley would lead the way for Marian with four shots on goal.  Junior Colby Muise (5-6-2) took a tough-luck loss making 34 saves marking the seventh time this season he has made at least 30 saves.

Marian travels to Lawrence to open the Battle of Highway 41 rivalry Friday, January 14 for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
