Box Score STEVENS POINT, Wis. - Marian University women's hockey (4-9-2, 1-3-0-2 NCHA) led after the first period but fell at UW-Stevens Point by a 7-1 final.
In a defensive opening period, the Sabres were able to light the lamp for the only goal of the stanza. Sophomore Aeryn Olson lit the lamp with just 1:54 left in the period to give the Sabres a 1-0 edge, assist to freshman Madeline Chimenti. The Pointers responded scoring three goals in the second period and four more in the final period to put the final at 7-1.
Sophomore Hannah Cunha and junior Kristen Bisschop each had three shots on goal to lead the offense, while sophomore Kayla Kolpitcke (4-9-2) made 41 saves, her seventh performance with at least 40 saves.
