ATLANTA - For the third time this season, freshman Allyson Nichols of Marian University field hockey has been named the SAA Offensive Player of the Week.
Nichols (Little Falls, N.Y.) recorded 13 points as the Sabres swept Sewanee to earn the No. 3 seed for the SAA Tournament. She opened the weekend with a five-point game where she scored once with three assists as Marian earned a 9-3 conference victory. Then in the series finale, she recorded her third hat trick of the season to go with two assists for an eight-point game. Nichols enters the SAA Tournament second in the league for goals, assists, and points.Â
