Concordia Wisconsin was able to get out to a hot start scoring on the first shot of the game.The Falcons led 1-0 at the first intermission despite being outshot 16-11.Marian finally found the back of the net when junior Alex Rondeau scored on a 5-on-3 power play at the 7:09 mark of the second period. Senior Jack Sampson and freshman Adam Nobes each earned an assist.The Sabres outshot CUW 12-8 in the second period as the squads were tied going into the final period.The Marian penalty kill held CUW scoreless on three power plays in the third period leading to overtime.Sophomore Jaymes Knee would find the back of the net at the 2:05 mark with an assist to Rondeau to earn the extra point. Marian finished with a 41-29 edge in shots and outshot the Falcons in all three regulation periods.The Sabre penalty kill held CUW scoreless on six power-play chances.The Marian power play scored one goal on four opportunities.
