KENOSHA, Wis. - Marian University men's basketball (0-2, 0-0 NACC) saw another halftime lead slip away falling to Carthage 82-74.

• Marian led for most of the first half but couldn't pull away and only led by as much as four points.
• The Sabres were able to close out the opening half on a 6-1 run to hold a 34-31 lead.
• The opening minutes of the second half saw Marian build its lead out to 40-35 before Carthage used a 23-6 run to take a 58-46 lead with 12:02 left to play.
• The Sabres were able to cut their deficit down to as little as five on several occasions but were unable to draw any closer.
• Marian was outscored in the second half 51-40.

• Carthage outscored Marian 27-7 in points off turnovers and 27-10 in second-chance points.
• Both offenses played well in the second half with Marian shooting 48.2-percent from the field and Carthage 51.3-percent.
• The Firebirds held a 42-28 advantage in the paint.
