Sabre men's hockey drops overtime thriller to open St. Olaf series

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Marian University NCAA men's hockey (3-5-0, 1-2-1-0 NCHA) fell in overtime for the first time this season dropping the series opener at St. Olaf 3-2.

  • Each team scored a goal in the opening period with St. Olaf scoring at the 15:58 mark and Marian tying the game just 41 seconds later.
  • Freshman Luca Marcellitti lit the lamp for the first time as a Sabre with an assist from sophomore Anthony Bilka and junior Ty Mosimann.
