FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's basketball (1-3, 1-0 NACC) outscored Rockford 42-21 in the second half to defeat the Regents 76-64 in the first game of NACC play.

• After a 7-7 start, Rockford took the first major lead of the game using a 15-4 spurt to go ahead 22-11 with 12:20 left in the first half.
• The Sabres rallied to cut that deficit down to 33-29 with 3:49 left in the half but Rockford would take a 43-34 lead into the break.
• Rockford shot 16-of-30 (.533) from the field in the opening half and went 6-of-12 (.500) from beyond the arc.
• The Sabres were able to stay close and trailed 49-44 with 14:24 left to play before taking the lead for good.
• Marian would score 10 unanswered point to go ahead 54-49 with 10:40 left to play.
• The Regents rallied to only trail by two with 4:43 left but a 13-2 run from the Sabres saw Marian build a game-high 13-point lead with 1:24 left to play.
• The Sabres returned the favor in the second half shooting 16-of-32 (.500) from the field and 7-of-13 (.538) from beyond the arc in the second half.

• Marian finished the game shooting 31-of-64 (.484) with 10-of-23 (.435) coming from beyond the arc, while Rockford was 25-of-66 (.379) and 7-of-29 (.241) from three-point land.
• The Sabres outrebounded the Regents 41-35 and outscored Rockford 15-10 in second-chance points.
• Marian committed more turnovers by a 17-14 margin but outscored Rockford 12-11 in points off turnovers.
• A slim edge for points in the paint saw Marian outscore Rockford 38-34.
