Addison Jacak of Marian University women's bowling have been named the Sabres of the Month for November.
Gouin (Hartland, Wis.) had another strong start to the season leading the Marian offense in November. He filled up the stat sheet leading Marian with 17.8 points per game to go with 17 assists and a 1.4 assist to turnover ratio. Gouin also ranked third on the team grabbing 18 rebounds. In the season opener against Elmhurst, Gouin scored 25 points to go with four rebounds and two assists. He finished with double-digit points in the other three games in November and helped lead Marian to a win over Rockford to open NACC play. Against the Regents, Gouin scored 17 points to go with five rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Gouin also shot 6-of-10 (.600) from the field against Carthage finishing with 17 points and four assists.
Jacak (West Bend, Wis.) continued to have a strong start to her season and helped lead the Sabres to a strong start to CCIW play. She earned a CCIW Bowler of the Week award to open the month for an event at the end of October and used that momentum in November. Jacak averaged 179.8 pins over 13 games during November with a two finishes in the top five. At the UW-Oshkosh Invite, she finished fourth after averaging 177.8 pins. She also earned a third-place finish at the first CCIW event after averaging 196.3 pins over three games. On the season, Jacak has averaged 185.6 pins over 29 games with a top-five finish in three of six events. She has finished in the top 25 for every event she competed in every game.
Marian men's basketball takes on Benedictine at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, while Sabre women's bowling returns to action at the UW-Whitwater Warhawk Open Dec. 3-4.
