Sabre women's hockey closes out season at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Marian University women's hockey (7-18-2, 4-9-0-3 NCHA) saw their season come to an end after falling to Lake Forest 5-0 in game two of the NCHA Slaats Cup Quarterfinals.

The Foresters scored just one goal in the first and second periods with their second period score coming on a power play.  Lake Forest was able to pull away in the final period scoring three goals.  Sophomore Bailey Williams led the Marian offense recording three shots, while freshman Sydney Schipper won 20 of 30 draws.

Sophomore Kayla Kolpitcke (7-18-2) ended a strong season making 54 saves in the defeat.  The performance was a career-high and the second time this season she made at least 50 stops.
