PLYMOUTH, Wis. - Marian University men's volleyball (20-4, 6-2 NACC) defeated Lakeland in straight sets for the second time this season with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, and 25-20.

The Sabres held an early 13-10 lead to open the match before using a 6-2 run to build some cushion.  Marian then dominated the ending of the first set scoring the final five points.  The Muskies bounced back to open the second set building a 13-12 lead.  The Sabres were able to rebound, however, going on a 9-2 run to take a commanding 21-15 advantage and eventually take the set.  Lakeland looked poised to make another run in the third set jumping out to a 14-10 advantage.  Marian had an answer once again using a 10-2 run to take a 20-16 lead.  The Sabres then scored five of the final seven points to clinch the sweep.

Marian had double-digit kills in all three sets and finished with a .329 hitting percentage.  Junior Cam Muller led the offense recording a match-high 12 kills off of a .400 hitting percentage.  Sophomore Derek Wills chipped in 11 kills with a pair of service aces.  Senior Carzell Combs led the way in the back row with eight digs.

Marian travels to North Park Wednesday, March 23 taking on Cal Lutheran and North Park in non-conference action.
