Box Score 2 OSHKOSH, Wis. - Marian University softball (6-9, 1-3 NACC) fell to No. 15 UW-Oshkosh in a pair of 10-2 games that lasted five innings.
Junior Emalee Depa hit a double to drive in a run to open the scoring for Marian in game one. Freshman Kerena Wood was then able to hit a sacrifice fly. The Sabres started game two well scoring a pair of runs in game two. Sophomore Katelyn Matenaer hit a leadoff home run to start the game, the first of her career, and senior Melanie Weigel drove in a run with a single later in the inning.
Matenaer had multiple hits in both games, while freshman Alivia Ernst went 2-for-2 in the second game of the twin bill.
Marian returns to NACC action traveling to Rockford Friday, April 8 for a 4 p.m. twin bill.
