RIPON, Wis. - Marian University women's tennis (3-3, 1-1 NACC) rallied after dropping two doubles matches to defeat Ripon 5-4.
The lone Marian win in doubles action came at the top with
Carly Paulson and
Aeryn Olson teaming up for an 8-2 win. Paulson and Olson then helped lead the comeback earning wins in the top singles spots. Paulson took the No. 1 flight 6-2, 6-1 and Olson had a similar score at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-2 win.
Melana Brunton kept the Sabres alive with a 6-0, 7-6 sweep at the No. 6 spot and the match hinged on the final match-up of the night at No. 4 singles.Â
Katrina Pokorny clinched the comeback victory for Marian with a 6-3, 6-4 win.
Marian returns home to host Illinois Tech in NACC action Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. from Fond du Lac High School.
