MILWAUKEE - Senior
Colby Muise of Marian University NCAA men's hockey has been selected as the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Muise (Yarmouth, N.S.) led Marian to a five-point weekend against No. 9 St. Norbert with a shootout victory and his second shutout of the season. Muise opened the series against the Green Knights by tying a season-high with 43 saves. Most importantly, he stopped all six shots he saw in overtime and all three SNC shootout attempts. He followed that up stopping all 28 shots he saw in the finale for his second shutout of the year, a hard-earned 1-0 decision. He helped anchor the penalty kill to a perfect showing, stopping SNC on all five opportunities. His final totals included a 1-0-1 record, 71 total saves, a 1.92 goals-against average, and .947 save percentage.
