FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's hockey (2-4-0, 2-2-0-0 NCHA) defeated Dubuque 3-1 to secure a sweep of the Spartans.

Marian was able to get things going early scoring two goals separated by just 4:56 on the clock.
Junior Jadyn Gorski lit the lamp on a power play with an assist from sophomore Logan Crawford at the 8:32 mark.
Freshman Ella Spies then netted the first goal of her career with an assist from junior Emma Heide to put the Sabres ahead 2-0 after 20 minutes.
The Spartans responded near the midway point of the second period with a power play goal to put the score at 2-1.
Junior Michaela Powers extended the Marian lead back to two goals just 2:43 later with an assist from Spies.

Marian had at least 15 shots in all three periods finishing with a 54-21 edge in shots.
The Sabres also held a slim edge in face-off wins at 35-32.
Marian went 1-for-4 (.250) on the power play, while Dubuque scored one goal on three chances.
Marian finishes the weekend with six points in the first two meetings between the two programs.

	Freshman Ella Spies had her first multi-point game after scoring her first collegiate goal and adding an assist.
	Junior Jadyn Gorski netted a power-play goal, her second score of the season.
	Junior Abby Okon (2-2-0) made 20 saves to earn her second win of the season.
