ADRIAN, Mich. - Junior Abby Okon of Marian University women's hockey has been named an NCHA Star of the Week.

Okon (Beaver Dam, Wis.) set a Marian single-game record when she stopped 71 shots to close out a series at No. 9 Adrian.  She made at least 23 stops in all three periods with 25 saves coming in the second stanza.  Okon was also the anchor to a penalty-kill unit that had a perfect game stopping all 17 power-play shots she faced over the five Adrian chances.  She finished the weekend 87 saves and a .926 save percentage after making a relief appearance in the opener of the series.
