Marian men's lacrosse routs MSJ with offensive outburst

CINCINNATI - Marian University men's lacrosse (2-1, 0-0 NACC) scored double-digit goals in two of the four quarters defeating Mount St. Joseph 33-6.

  • Mount St. Joseph opened the scoring for the game but Marian responded with 11 unanswered goals.
  • The Sabres were able to take a 15-3 lead at halftime after scoring 11 goals in the second period.
  • The offense continued to fire as Marian outscored the Lions 8-2 in the third quarter and 10-1 in the final stanza.

Senior Erik Horman dominated once again recording 12 points after scoring nine times with three assists. Senior Tanner Chester led the Marian defense causing seven turnovers and grabbing five ground balls. Freshman Jackson Sweeney (2-1) made 12 saves on 18 chances for a .750 save percentage.
