Marian Men's Lacrosse Closes Season Against Benedictine

FOND DU LAC - Marian University mens lacrosse (9-7, 2-6 NACC) finishes the season falling to Benedictine 15-6.

  • The Sabres got out to a slow start as Benedictine scored three goals in the first and six in the second to go into halftime ahead 9-0.
  • After the Eagles opened the third quarter with a man-up goal, senior Hayden Powless found the back of the net for Marian.
  • Benedictine extended its lead back out to 12-1 with a pair of goals.
  • Marian was able to score back-to-back goals with a man-up goal from senior Erik Horman and even-strength score from fellow senior Cole Grossen.
  • After Benedictine went up 15-3, Marian closed out the game with three unanswered goals.
  • Horman had a pair of the Sabre goals and Grossen the final score of the 15-6 final.
