WHITEWATER, Wis. - Marian University men's soccer (0-1-0, 0-0-0 NACC) dropped a 1-0 nail biter to UW-Whitewater to open the season.

- The opening half was extremely even with neither team managing to find the back of the net.
- UW-Whitewater was able to take control to open the second half despite drawing a pair of yellow cards.
- The Warhawks were able to break the scoreless tie at the 75:52 mark.
- Marian was able to create a solid opportunity and corner kick in the final minute but were unable to find the equalizer.

- The first half saw each team record seven shots before UWW outshot Marian 10-3 in the second half.
- Marian did finish the game with a 6-5 edge in shots on goal.
- Corner kicks saw UWW hold a 12-6 edge, while fouls were even at 12-11 with the Warhawks committing more fouls.
