FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's soccer (2-2-0, 0-1-0 NACC) dropped its NACC opener 1-0 to Wisconsin Lutheran.

- The opening half was all about the defenses as there were only a couple of quality opportunities.
- The Warriors were able to hold the Sabres without a shot through the first 45 minutes of action.
- Wisconsin Lutheran was able to control the pace of play and broke the deadlock with a goal at the 51:50 mark.
- The Sabres had their first quality chance just 47 seconds later but a header from senior Isak Olsson off of a corner was saved.
- In the 74th minute, freshman Ved Asur would let a shot fly from 30 yards out but that effort was also stopped by the Puma Galvan of WLC.

- Marian was outshot 14-4 in the defeat and 9-2 for shots on goal.
- Corner kicks were in favor of the Warriors but only by an 8-6 margin.
- This is the second time this season Marian has suffered a tough 1-0 defeat.
