FOND DU LAC - The Marian University eSports Rainbow Six Siege team (1-0) defeated Southern Illinois Black 7-3 and 7-2 to win its first match of the season.

  MAP 1 - OREGON

• The Sabres began on attack and were able to start fast with two victories by elimination. 
• SIUC was able to bounce back taking a 3-2 lead after three straight victories.
• Marian built momentum winning its final attack by placing the bomb to tie the match at 3-3.
• The Sabre defense then stood tall winning four straight rounds, three by elimination, to take the first map.

MAP 2 - CLUBHOUSE

• The Marian defense continued its domination in map two winning the first four rounds, two by elimination.
• The two squads traded the final two rounds giving Marian a 5-1 advantage headed to the swap.
• The SIUC defense took the opening round following the swap, but Marian took the next two rounds to complete the victory.

 

• Marian had three student-athletes with a combat core of more than 10,000 and 20 or more kills.
• Four of the five Sabres had 12 or fewer deaths.
• Four of the five Marian student-athletes also had a combat score of at least 4,700 on both maps.
