ROCKFORD, Ill. - Marian University men's soccer (2-6-1, 0-5-1 NACC) earned its first NACC point in a 1-1 tie at Rockford.
- The Sabres were able to jump out to a fast start with senior Logan Holevas scoring his third goal of the season just 8:04 into the match. Freshman Ved Asur and senior Drew Cowden each assisted the goal.
- Marian was able to hold onto the lead until the 36th minute when Rockford found an equalizer.
- Each team had opportunities in the second half but neither squad was able to pull ahead.
- Senior Isak Olsson would have a shot hit the crossbar in the 72nd minute as a near game-winner.
- Rockford outshot Marian 13-7 in the game with the Regents recording four shots on goal to only one for the Sabres.
- The Sabres had three corner kicks to five for Rockford.
- This is the third time in the past seven meetings that Marian and Rockford has tied.
