ADRIAN, Mich. - Senior
Alyssa Heim and junior
Abby Okon of Marian University women's hockey have each been named an NCHA Star of the Week.
The duo helped lead the Sabres to a non-conference sweep of UW-Superior to open the second half of the season. The victories were the first two wins for the program against the Yellow Jackets.
Heim (Beaver Dam, Wis.) posted a four-point weekend to lead Marian on the offensive side of things. She opened the weekend with her first multi-goal game of the season to go with a helper for three points.  She was on the ice for all four goals of the 4-0 victory.  Heim then scored a go-ahead goal in the second period of the finale to close out her weekend.  She finished with a +6 on-ice rating between the two games and netted the game-winner in the opener of the series with a short-handed score.
Okon (Beaver Dam, Wis.) earns her second NCHA Star of the Week award this season for her work in goal. She posted a 1.50 goals-against average allowing just three goals with a .958 save percentage on the weekend.  She opened the series with her first collegiate shutout stopping all 35 shots she faced (11-14-10).  Okon followed that with a 33-save performance (11-8-14) to close out the sweep of UWS.
