RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Marian University men's soccer (2-8-3, 1-5-1 NACC) fell to Concordia Chicago on the road by a 3-2 final.

- The Cougars controlled play in the opening half finding the back of the net in the 15th and 31st minutes.
- Concordia Chicago took this 2-0 advantage into halftime.
- Both offenses came alive in the second half with double the shots from the first half.
- Junior Reyes Martinez Vera scored his first Sabre goal in the 76th minute to cut the Marian deficit in half, assist to sophomore Hudson Shenk.
- Just 5:33 later, however, the Cougars rebuilt its two-goal cushion.
- With just 17 ticks remaining, sophomore Connor Sanderfoot found the back of the net, assist to sophomore Ved Asur, to set the final at 3-2.

- Marian outshot Concordia Chicago 15-12 in the second half but was outshot 21-19 for the game, 8-6 for shots on goal.
- The Sabres held an advantage in corner kicks by a slim 5-4 margin.
- Marian committed 14 fouls with two yellow cards, while CUC had 11 fouls and three bookings.
- The Cougars are now 8-7-3 all-time against Marian and 4-1-1 over the last six meetings.
