Sabre NCAA men's hockey offense stymied by No. 4/5 St. Norbert

FOND DU LAC - Marian University NCAA men's ice hockey (2-1-0, 0-1-0-0 NCHA) fell to No. 4/5 St. Norbert 3-0 in its first game of NCHA play.

The opening period saw no scoring but Marian held a 7-4 advantage for shots.
The Green Knights were able to strike first with 4:29 left in the second period to lead 1-0.
Each team had eight shots in the second stanza.
A second goal with 6:01 to play and an empty-net tally with 1:53 left on the clock settled the final at 3-0.

Marian finished with a 21-19 advantage in shots for the game.
