MILWAUKEE - Sophomores
Kiara Williams and
Chelsea King become the first teammates to earn All-NACC recognition since the 2010-11 season.
Williams (Warren, Mich.) becomes the first First Team All-NACC selection for the Sabres since the 2014-15 season. Williams led the NACC in double-doubles (14), points per game (17.2), and rebounds per game (11.0). Her scoring average was good for ninth in the single-season Marian records, and her rebounding average ranked third.
King (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) had an especially dominant second half of the season to earn a spot on the All-NACC Honorable Mention squad. King finished the season averaging 13.3 points per game with 5.0 rebounds per game and had a pair of double-doubles. She had five games with at least 20 points including a career-high 27 points coming against Concordia Chicago. She also grabbed 12 rebounds in that victory over the Cougars for the first double-double of her career. King would later post a double-double in a win over Illinois Tech after scoring 11 points with a career-high 15 rebounds. She earns this award after earning First Team All-NACC honors with the Marian women's soccer team this fall.
