FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's volleyball (14-5, 5-2 NACC) fell at home for only the third time this season being defeated by Benedictine 18-25, 25-22, 25-17, and 25-22.

- The Marian offense had a strong start as the Sabres were able to take an early 10-6 lead.
- The Eagles would manage to tie the opening set at 12-12 before a 7-1 run from Marian put the Sabres ahead 19-13.
- A quick 4-0 spurt from the Sabres later in the set saw Marian build a 23-15 advantage before eventually taking the set 25-18.
- Marian was able to once again get out to a strong start and led 8-5 to open the second.
- The two teams traded the lead back-and-forth with the Eagles eventually leading 18-14.
- Marian then went on another 7-1 run to take a 21-19 advantage.
- Benedictine immediately had a response, however, closing the set with a 6-1 run of their own.
- The Eagles managed a small 8-7 lead to open the third before going on a 7-1 spurt to lead 15-8 in the third.
- That run proved to be the difference as the two sides traded points for the remainder of the third.
- Benedictine had its strongest start to a set to open the fourth taking an early 9-3 lead.
- Marian chipped away at this deficit and eventually only trailed 20-18.
- After a quick three points from the Eagles, Marian trimmed its deficit down again to 24-22.
- The following point would be a Benedictine kill, however, to end the match.

- Benedictine held a 59-49 edge in kills and hit .322 for the match.
- Marian had 16 kills and a .577 hitting percentage in the opening set.
- The Eagles had a hefty advantage in the back row by a 45-28 edge in digs.
- The Sabres had a slim edge at the net, however, with a 9-8 advantage in blocks.
- Benedictine has won all 12 matches against Marian with this being the seventh match that went beyond three sets.
