DAVENPORT, Fla. - Marian University baseball (6-3, 0-0 NACC) returned to action defeating Anderson (Ind.) 7-5 and 11-3.

GAME 1
- Patient hitting gave Marian an early lead to open the twin bill as Marian drew three walks and a hit by pitch to take an early 2-0 lead.
- The Ravens scored in their half of the first before senior Tyler Blum brought in a run in the double to put the Sabres ahead 3-1.
- Both pitchers were able to settle down from there and it wouldn't be until the eighth that either side would score.
- Junior Gus Walker opened a four-run eighth for the Sabres bringing in two runs with a single.
- Seniors Logan Rademan and Robbie Knorr followed with run-producing singles to put the Sabres ahead 7-1.
- Anderson (Ind.) wouldn't go away quietly, however, scoring four runs of their own, two being unearned, in the bottom half of the eight.
- A quiet ninth, however, gave Marian a win in the opening game.
GAME 2
- Early defense was once again the early story as Anderson led 1-0 going into the bottom of the sixth.
- Junior Jacob Kleeman got Marian on the board in the bottom of the sixth driving in two runs with a double, which was followed by a Raven error to score him and put Marian ahead 3-1.
- Anderson (Ind.) had a response scoring two runs in the next half inning to tie the game at 3-3.
- Marian would break the game open after the stretch scoring eight runs in the bottom of the seventh.
- Walker and Rademan each drove in two runs before senior Andrew Schroeder ended the rally with a single that scored two runs.
- Both offenses went quietly in the final two innings to secure the Sabre sweep.
