FOND DU LAC - Marian University softball (11-9, 5-3 NACC) was defeated 3-0 in 14 innings before earning a 2-1 in 11 innings against Concordia Chicago.

GAME 1
- Â Offense was at a premium as both pitching staffs showed their stuff.
- Each team had opportunities to score but neither squad would strike for the first 13 innings of action.
- The Cougars would strand the bases loaded in the eighth and Marian the same in the bottom of the 13th.
- After the top of the 14th opened with two outs, Concordia Chicago would hit three straight singles and a double to plate three runs.
- The Sabres would go down in order in the bottom half to suffer the game one defeat.
GAME 2
- Game two was similar as neither side scored through the first five innings of action.
- Marian was finally able to score its first run of the day in the bottom of the sixth when junior Kendall Pliner drove in a run with a single.
- This was answered by CUC in the top of the seventh to send game two into extras.
- Neither team put together any dangerous chances until the bottom of the 11th.
- A leadoff single from Pliner, K. opened the frame.
- After a one-hit hit by pitch and walk, Marian found themselves with the bases loaded and one out.
- Sophomore Sofia Cerullo then played the role of hero driving a ball to left field for a single to earn the walk-off win.
