MONTGOMERY, Ill. - Marian University men's soccer (1-6-3, 0-3-1 NACC) was defeated by Aurora 4-1 on the road.

- Aurora was able to jump out to a fast start scoring just 12:02 into the game.
- The Sabres bounced back nicely, however, but still trailed 1-0 at the break.
- Another quick goal, just 7:03 into the second half, saw the Spartans extend their lead.
- The Spartan advantage grew to 4-0 with scores in the 73rd and 81st minute.
- Marian was able to end the game on a high note when junior Emmett Marckese scored in the 87th minute with an assist from sophomore Hudson Shenk.

- Marian was outshot 21-10 in the game and 9-3 for shots on goal.
- Corner kicks were a close affair with Marian having eight and Aurora nine.
- Marian was called for a yellow card and 15 fouls, while Aurora had just four infractions.
- The Sabres fall to 4-12-3 all-time against the Spartans.
