DELAWARE, Ohio - Marian University field hockey (3-1, 0-0 CFHC) suffered its first loss of the season falling to Ohio Wesleyan 4-0.

- The Sabres and Battling Bishops went scoreless in the opening quarter and for most of the second.
- OWU was able to find the back of the cage with just 4:16 on the clock and this one-goal lead held into halftime.
- The Battling Bishops quickly made it a 2-0 lead in the third quarter with a goal 5:44 in.
- OWU would close out the quarter with a last-second penalty-stroke goal to lead 3-0 after three quarters.
- The scoring concluded 4:10 into the final stanza.

- Marian was limited to just one shot on goal, while OWU had 28 shots, 15 of which were on goal.
- The Battling Bishops had 10 penalty corners to just one for the Sabres.
- This was the first meeting between the two schools.
