FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's ice hockey (4-9-0, 2-4-0-0 NCHA) was defeated 5-1 by St. Scholastica in the Fondy Pot Invitational consolation game.
- The opening period saw just one score and it was CSS at the 6:41 mark.
- Then 5:58 into the second period the Saints were able to extend its lead to 2-0 with a short-handed score.
- Senior Sydney Schipper put Marian on the board with 9:55 left in the period with assists from junior Logan Crawford and sophomore Ella Spies.
- The Saints had an answer just 2:36 later to extend the lead back to 3-1.
- CSS was able to finish the period strong with two goals separated by just 47 ticks to lead 5-1.
- A scoreless final stanza saw the 5-1 tally hold.
- St. Scholastica held a 36-32 advantage for shots in the game.
- Marian had an advantage in faceoffs by a 28-22 margin.
- Neither team had a power-play goal with Marian having five chances to two for CSS.
- The Sabres are now 2-26-1 all-time against the Saints having lost the last six meetings.
