With it finally feeling like fall that means the postseason is just around the corner!  Let's recap everything you need to know as the push for the postseason really starts to kick in for our fall sports!

Marian men's soccer opened the week closing out its non-conference schedule with a tight 2-1 defeat at UW-Stevens Point.  The return to Smith Field and NACC action for the Sabres was then spoiled by a high-powered Aurora offense.

Marian had just one game but the Sabres took advantage of the slow week putting together a dominating 4-0 win over Aurora.  Senior Brianna Guelig had a goal and an assist off the bench to spark the offense, while freshman Samantha Smith stopped all four shots she saw for her second shutout of the campaign.

Marian had a tough week away from Sadoff Gym falling to Lakeland and Aurora in straight sets.  Senior Harley Bartels had 10 kills against the Muskies.

The week opened for the Sabres with senior Jikke Biemans earning her second CFHC Offensive Player of the Week award this season following her multi-goal effort in the overtime win over Centre.

Marian had its fall season come to an end with the Sabres finishing sixth at the NACC Championship.  Wyatt Pfeiffer led the way for the Sabres finishing in a tie for eighth to become the first Sabre to earn All-NACC recognition since the 2020-21 season.  Head Coach Tyler Jones and his coaching staff were also recognized as the NACC Co-Coaching Staff of the Year.

The season may have ended last week for the Sabres but junior Yinan Lu capped off her spectacular fall with her third NACC Player of the Week selection!

It was an off week for the Sabres but it'll be a busy upcoming week as Marian hosts its annual showcase Friday, Oct. 24 to Sunday, Oct. 26!

The Sabres had the weekend off but we are glad to pass on the results from the Columbia 300 Western Shootout and first GLBC event from the year!
