GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Marian University field hockey (6-3, 0-0 CFHC) ended an eight-match road trip falling at DePauw 3-1.

- DePauw was able to get out to a strong start in the opening quarter and opened the scoring 7:26 into the game.
- The second quarter was dominated by both defenses with little offensive opportunity to keep the score at 1-0 going into halftime.
- Marian had a strong response coming out of the break and dominated the third quarter.
- The Sabres were able to even the score 7:50 into the second half when senior Jikke Biemans scored off of a penalty corner insertion from freshman Shaelyn Klassen.
- Despite only having two shots in the quarter, the Tigers retook the lead with 1:26 left until the fourth quarter.
- Another defensive stanza ensued in the fourth with DePauw scoring at the 51:54 mark to put the final at 3-1.
- Marian finished with a 15-10 advantage for shots in the game, but DePauw had a 9-5 edge for shots on goal.
- The Sabres outshot the Tigers 12-4 in the second half.
- Marian held a 5-4 advantage for penalty corners with all five chances for the Sabres coming in the third quarter.
- The Tigers had 33 fouls to 30 for the Sabres.
- Marian is 0-3 all-time against DePauw.
