Marian men's soccer responds in second half for draw with Illinois Tech

CHICAGO - Marian University men's soccer (4-5-2, 2-3-1 NACC) scored in the second half to come away with an impressive 1-1 draw with Illinois Tech.

  • Cal Graham got the scoring started for the Scarlet Hawks, off an assist from Adam Lazarowicz at 25:25 to make it 1-0. 
  • Marian nearly responded with a shot by sophomore Kairo Machuca hitting the right woodwork in the 28th minute. 
  • The Sabres went into the break down 1-0, putting up five shots in the half.
  • Marian opened the second half with a goal by freshman Szymon Kielar at 56:05 to tie the game at 1-1.
