MILWAUKEE - Senior
Harley Bartels of Marian University women's volleyball has been selected to the All-NACC Second Team.
Bartels (Holmen, Wis.) finishes her career with a second straight All-NACC award after earning Honorable Mention recognition last season. An anchor in the middle for the Sabres, she once again paced the Marian attack with 2.09 kills per set and 2.76 points per set. She also proved to be an efficient attacker once again ranking ninth in the conference with a .237 attack percentage. Bartels led the squad at the net recording 42 blocks, 13 of which were solo stops. It was the third time in her career she recorded at least 40 blocks in a season. Her unique tool set also led her to the second-most service aces on the team with 31, a career-high. Bartels had double-digit kills in nine matches and nearly had a double-double against UW-Stout when she posted a season-high 14 kills to go with nine digs. At the net, she had multiple blocks in 13 matches including five total blocks in that same match against the Blue Devils. Bartels finishes her career with the 10th-best attack percentage and 10th-most solo blocks in program history.
