MADISON, WIS. - Sixth-seeded Marian University women's soccer (8-8-4, 5-5-2 NACC) fell in the quarterfinals of the NACC Tournament at the hands of third-seeded Edgewood, 1-0.
 
	- Edgewood instantly grabbed the lead, with a Kamy Luecke header off the corner kick at 3:29 giving the Eagles the only score of the day.
 
	- At 17:03, senior Chelsea King made a crucial penalty kick save on Edgewood's Riley Haertle. 
 
	- Marian was limited to two shots on goal in the first half, as the Sabres went into the break down 1-0.
 
	- King had a huge second half, recording five saves, including three in the first seven minutes of the half. 
 
	- Junior Emily Gordillo had a shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the Sabres were unable to create any additional scoring opportunities, ultimately falling 1-0. 
 
	- Edgewood held the advantage in both shots (13-8) and shots on goal (9-4).
 
	- Marian trailed in corner kicks in a 5-2 deficit and recorded zero in the second half.
 
	- The Sabres conclude their season with a one-win improvement from 2024, ending on an 8-8-4 record. 
 
	- The loss marked the season-straight NACC quarterfinal loss for the Sabres, following last year's 2-0 loss to Dominican.
 
	- Senior Brianna Guelig ends her senior season with 10 goals, the highest total for a Sabre since Ashley Welk in 2021. 
 
	- Six Sabres appeared in all twenty games this season: seniors Frida Marroquin, and Caitlin Traver, junior Emily Gordillo, sophomores Maya Gray and Sofia Vizcarra, and freshman Kendall Graves.
