ROCKFORD, Ill. - Marian University women's volleyball (4-23, 3-10 NACC) closed its season with a five-set loss at Rockford; 20-25, 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 15-11.

- Marian had a strong start leading 16-10 and brought that lead otu to 23-16.
- Rockford was able to cut the deficit down to 23-20 before Marian finished the set with back-to-back points.
- The Sabres trailed 9-7 in the second before Rockford built its lead to as large as 23-14 to even the sets.
- Rockford then had a 13-4 run in the third set to lead 16-10.
- A 7-1 spurt from the Regents later in the set put Rockford a set away from victory.
- Marian was able to fight back and led 10-9 before going on a 7-1 run to build a seven-point lead.
- Rockford chipped away at the deficit and tied the set at 23-23.
- A kill and block from senior Harley Bartels was able to force a fifth set.
- The fifth set was tied at 7-7 and 11-11 before the Regents scored four straight to secure the win.
