MINNEAPOLIS - Marian University women's basketball (1-10, 0-3 NACC) posted its second-highest scoring output of the season but fell 84-75 in a high-scoring contest.

- Marian jumped out to a quick 9-2 lead behind two early baskets from freshman Ava Kreger.Â
- The Rams stormed back with 11 unanswered points as part of a 20-2 run, building a 22-11 lead.
- A three-pointer from sophomore Emily Eastham cut the margin to 24-20 at the end of a high-scoring first quarter.Â
- There were three ties in the second quarter, but Marian never took the lead. The Sabres entered the half trailing 40-34, with Eastham and senior Chelsea King leading the way with nine points apiece.
- After North Central extended its lead to nine to start the third, Marian responded with a 10-1 run to pull even at 44-44.Â
- King and Kreger combined for 15 of Marian's 22 third-quarter points, but still trailed 63-56 entering the fourth.Â
- A jumper from freshman Holly Goodwin put the Sabres within five with two minutes remaining.Â
- Marian missed six consecutive shots before Kreger's three-pointer made it 82-75 with 19 seconds left. The Rams then sealed the game at the line, as the Sabres fell 84-75.
- Marian finished with season-highs in three-pointers made (8) and assists (19).
- The 19 assists are the Sabres' highest single-game total since the 2019-20 season.Â
- Marian again struggled with ball security, committing 30 turnovers, which led to 24 steals for North Central.
- The Sabres outrebounded the Rams 37-35, including a 30-19 edge in defensive boards.
- North Central senior Brycelyn Brewster finished with 15 points, along with game-highs of seven assists and seven steals.Â
- Today marked the first-ever matchup between the Sabres and Rams.Â
