LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Marian University women's ice hockey (5-4-0, 3-4-0 NCHA) fell to Lake Forest 3-0 in the opener of its final NCHA series of the first half.
- The Foresters dominated the opening period but Marian held LFC to only one goal with 1:29 left in the period.
- Another late goal in the second period with just 3:52 on the clock put the score at 2-0.
- Lake Forest closed out the scoring with a goal at the 11:28 mark of the final period.
- Lake Forest finished with a 33-26 advantage for shots.
- After being outshot 14-4 in the first period, Marian outshot LFC in the final two periods.
- Face-offs favored LFC by a 29-23 margin.
- Neither team scored on their lone power-play chance.
- Lake Forest has now won four of the last five meetings.
