FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's basketball (16-8, 9-8 NACC) was defeated in overtime by MSOE 84-75.

- After a 6-6 start to the game, Marian went on a 14-3 spurt to lead 20-9 with 11:55 on the clock.
- The Sabres built their lead to as large as 12 points at 30-18 before MSOE went on a 17-6 run to only trail by one with 2:36 until halftime.
- Marian was able to withhold the Raiders and went into halftime leading 40-36.
- MSOE was able to quickly tie the game at 44-44 to open the second half and from there it was a back-and-forth game.
- The largest Marian lead for the rest of regulation was just four points and five for MSOE at 69-64 with 4:46 to play.
- Following that lead, Marian scored seven unanswered points to lead 71-69.
- The Raiders rallied with four straight of their own to retake the advantage at 73-71.
- The first possession under a minute saw sophomore Andrew Ayeni block an MSOE shot and convert a layup on the other end to tie the game.
- The Sabre defense then put up two stops in the final 34 seconds to force overtime.
- The overtime saw Marian convert just one shot, while MSOE went 7-of-8 (.875) from the charity stripe with a pair of field goals on just two shot attempts to earn the win.

- Marian finished 31-of-67 (.463) from the field and just 7-of-27 (.259) from beyond the arc.
- MSOEÂ was 30-of-53 (.566) shooting and went 4-of-13 (.308) on triples.
- The free throw line played a key factor as MSOE was 16-of-17 (.941) over the final 25 minutes, while Marian went 6-of-12 (.500) for the game with just one attempt in the final 25 minutes.
- The Sabre defense forced 13 turnovers and recorded 22 points off turnovers.
- Marian is now 2-2 in games that require overtime.
- The Sabres fall to 45-25 all-time against MSOE having dropped three of the last four meetings.
