ROCKFORD, Ill. - Marian University baseball (15-17, 9-9 NACC) suffered just its second NACC sweep of the season falling to Rockford 11-3 and 7-6.

GAME 1
- Marian was able to open the scoring in the top of the first when senior Logan Rademan drove in a run with a single.
- The lead didn't last long as Rockford plated three in the first inning and scored 11 unanswered runs through the first four innings.
- Graduate student Robbie Knorr and sophomore Lucas Lemons drove in runs later in the game as part of the 11-3 final.
GAME 2
- The Sabres once again scored in the opening inning when graduate student Dylan Pease brought in two runs with a single.
- Just like game one, Rockford scored three runs in the bottom of the first to immediately erase their deficit.
- The Regents cushioned their advantage with three runs in the fourth.
- Another single from Pease in the seventh brought Marian to within three, but a wild pitch after the stretch saw Rockford extend its lead to 7-3.
- Two singles and a home run from senior James Bornick opened the ninth inning and brought Marian to within one at 7-6.
- The Sabres were able to get the tying run on base but couldn't do anything with it.
- Marian is now 22-24 all-time against Rockford having dropped the last three meetings.
