#3Â - Meade Qualifies for USBC ISC National Championship
The Marian University men's bowling program sent a student-athlete to the USBC ISC National Championship for a second straight season in freshman
Tyler Meade.
Meade was able to comfortably qualify for the USBC ISC National Championship finishing fourth at the sectional qualifier. He finished with a total pinfall of 1,463 pins in the qualifier for an average of 243.8. Meade had two games above 270 pins with a high game of 296.
Then in Las Vegas, Meade had a strong qualifying round earning the No. 4 seed with 1,317 pins or a 219.5 average.  He bounced back from a tough opening game to to bowl four straight games with at least 206 pins. His fifth game saw him roll a 256, his highest game of qualifying. Meade was one of just seven bowlers with at least 1,300 pins.
This earned Meade a bye in bracket play, but Meade would only compete in one round of bracket play. Meade was one of just eight bowlers with at least 650 pins in the second round but was defeated by No. 13 Blake Walsh of Mount Mercy by a 756-655 tally. Walsh went on to earn the ISC National Championship.
Meade became just the second bowler in Marian men's bowling program history to qualify for the USBC ISC National Championship joining
Jaysen Spanbauer who took home the title in 2024. His freshman campaign also saw him earn GLBC Newcomer of the Year and Player of the Year honors.
