FOND DU LAC -
Brie Pasquale has announced her departure from the Marian University softball program after serving as an assistant coach since 2023.
The Sabres were 45-39 (.536) over her two seasons with the program including a 27-21 (.563) mark in NACC play and a pair of NACC Tournament appearances. Her first season at Marian saw the Sabres win 25 games, the fifth time in program history the Sabres reached the 25-win plateau. The Sabres also made a deep run in the NACC Tournament ultimately winning three games, tied for the most wins in the conference tournament in the NACC era. Then last season, Marian went 15-9 (.625) in conference play marking the seventh time the Sabres won at least 15 games in NACC play. Pasquale also served as the head coach of the women's tennis program during her time as a Sabre.
"Congratulations to Brie on her next opportunity," said Head Softball Coach Tony Drave. "We'd like to thank her for all she did for Marian University in her two years here and can't wait to see what the future brings for her."
Pasquale came to Marian having spending time as an assistant coach with the Dennison Silver Hawks and St. Francis High School. She spent her collegiate playing career at NCAA Division I Loyola University Chicago where she played in 187 games. Pasquale hit .231 in her career with 19 home runs and 71 runs driven in. She made an immediate impact in the Rambler lineup earning Second Team All-Horizon League and Horizon League All-Newcomer accolades. She would set a single-season freshman record with nine home runs in that first campaign and finished third on the squad with 26 runs driven in over 47 games. Then as a sophomore, she led the Ramblers with 34 run scored, 26 walks, and eight hit by pitches. Her final season as a Rambler she played every infield position except shortstop hitting .262 over 43 games while earning MVC Honor Roll recognition.
A national search for a new assistant softball coach is currently being conducted.
